GMA'S HOUSE develops community-centered programs that use food as a pathway to nourishment, education, cultural preservation and connection. Our programming is designed to respond to community needs while creating meaningful opportunities for youth, older adults, families and neighbors to learn and grow together.
We work to increase access to nourishing food and food resources in underserved communities, with particular attention to youth, older adults, and families who may face barriers to consistent access to healthy food.
Our food education initiatives are designed to build practical knowledge and confidence around food, from understanding ingredients and preparation techniques to developing skills that can be used at home and shared with others.
We create opportunities for youth and older generations to come together around food, sharing recipes, stories, techniques and traditions. These exchanges help preserve ancestral food knowledge while strengthening relationships across generations.
Our programs will continue to evolve as we listen to and learn from the communities we serve. Through partnerships, workshops, community events and other initiatives, GMA'S HOUSE will develop programming that reflects local needs while remaining rooted in our mission.
