GMA'S HOUSE is dedicated to increasing access to nourishing food and food education in underserved communities, with a focus on youth and older adults. Through intergenerational learning and community-centered programming, we create opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen connections, and preserve ancestral food traditions, particularly those rooted in Black communities.
GMA'S HOUSE is a registered DBA of The Trifecta Global Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We believe food is more than nourishment, it's a powerful way to connect generations, preserve culture, build community and share knowledge.
Our work brings together food access, education and intergenerational learning to help create healthier, more connected communities while honoring the traditions and experiences that have been passed from one generation to the next.
GMA'S HOUSE was created from a belief that some of life's most important lessons are shared around food. Recipes, traditions, stories and practical knowledge have long been passed from one generation to the next, creating connections that extend far beyond the kitchen.
As communities change, those opportunities for connection and knowledge-sharing can become harder to preserve. GMA'S HOUSE exists to create spaces where generations can come together, learn from one another and ensure that valuable food traditions and ancestral knowledge continue to be shared.
At the same time, we recognize that access to nourishing food and practical food education remains a challenge for many communities. Our goal is to bring these priorities together, food access, education, culture and connection in ways that strengthen individuals, families and communities.
